The sister was not ready for all the crap they threw at her. For years people have lied to us and told us we can change the system from within. But once you are within, why change it. She might do better to lose and become a constant gadfly to the system. They are going to stay on her until she gets her mind right. |

Chris, I think Rep. McKinney essentially won the debate, though it was CLEAR that the moderators were gunning for her. I mean, the male moderator seemed openly CONTEMPTUOUS of McKinney from the giddy-up. Her opponent is not even in her class as a statesperson. He appeared BADLY rehearsed, uninspiring and he presented NOTHING that suggested he'd help improve the fortunes of his congressional district and the nation as a whole. This is NOT the person who should replace Cynthia McKinney. And I hope the good people of DeKalb County, GA realize that. I realize Rep McKinney has had some problems. Although I think the incident with the Capitol security staff was overblown, she could/should have been more contrite about what occurred, if for no other reason than to avoid giving her enemies the fuel to burn her name in effigy. I'm disagree it would be better that Rep. McKinney loses. She was the very FIRST national politician to directly confront the Bush administration about their faults concerning 911. We DESPERATELY need that level of courage and foresight in our federal government. She's much more valuable to her constituents and the rest of us in Congress than she would be as one of a myriad faceless, powerless people whom the power elites can imperiously shield themselves from. |

I was REALLY impressed and proud of Cynthia Mckinney-----and I like her hair. I think she's very attractive and substantial. And I agree with you, ABM. Her courage and integrity is not only refreshing----but SO NEEDED. I would vote for her.

I saw it. I thought she was weak. But the guy who was her opponent was even weaker. I was unimpressed with both of them. I’m glad I don't have to choose between the two of them. I do agree that the moderator was all over McKinney. I thought he was rude and contemptuous towards her more than once. But she was very belligerent at times. But that still does not detract from the fact that I personally would never vote for either of those Negroes.
