This is a late writing that I forgot to post. I watched Bill O'Reilly interview Dan Rather on his news talk show (The Factor -FOX news channel) about two or three days ago. O’Reilly was belly aching and ranting about the level of anti-Bush sentiment and the ongoing questioning of his administrations policies. He stated that the level of anti-Bush hatred is over the top and totally out of control (whatever that means). He went on to add that anti-Bush hatred at home (in the US) is fueling the fires of anti-American sentiments around the world and indirectly harming Bush’s so called “war on terror”. He then stated the level of anti-Bush hatred and second guessing of the White Houses polices, is unwarranted, generated by radical leftists, and suggested that it was “unpatriotic”. Dan Rather disagreed and proceeded to give examples of the obvious failings of Bush’s policies and why many people at home and aboard have a distrustful perception of his administration. O'Reilly was visibly miffed and unimpressed. Given Bush's secretive nefarious history, his disastrous foreign policies (his domestic policies aren't much better), total disregard for Constitutional law and any proper legal oversight, and his decision to launch an unwarranted attack on another country (under the now totally discredited and factitious claim of WMD's), how could any sane person not understand why so many people dislike this man? So my questions is this: Do you feel the pervasive anti-Bush sentiment is excessive and unwarranted as Bill O'Reilly suggests?

Ntfs, Foks need to start SPECIFICALLY calling out what O'Reilly and conservatives are doing. It's a very EFFECTIVE rhetorical trick they pull. Everyone who disagree with Bush "hates him", they're unpatriotic, unamerican, etc. Rather and others should STOP trying to disprove the bvllshyt and consistently, loudly and vociferously CALL what they're doing...bvllshyt. |

O'Rielly is exhibiting the symptoms of someone in the advanced stages of syphillis. People should just punch him in the mouth when he does that crap and he'll stop. |

This is Bill O'Reilly we are talking about. I honestly do not take him seriously. Do you feel the pervasive anti-Bush sentiment is excessive and unwarranted as Bill O'Reilly suggests? HELL YES!!!

Sabiana, So O'Reilly's NOT to be taken seriously. But he's RIGHT? HUH? I don't believe Bush is any more hated than most other prior Presidents, ESPECIALLY when you consider the current circumstances we endure and how HE's curried such. And his predescessor Clinton engendered at LEAST the same level of hatred for much LESS legitimate cause. This whole hatred of Bush thing is just political spin. It's a rhetorical tactic used to distract foks from clearly seeing and confronting the bvllshyt he's gotten us into. And a president who willfully lies and deceives to initiate/perpetrate an unjustifiable war that costs 100's of billions in American treasure and 1,000's of American and 100,000's of Iraqis lives DESERVES to be hated. |

The plot thickens. It never even occurred to me to 'hate' Bush. To me thats like hating a stuffed animal or a dog. The man is a puppet - plain and simple. I am anti him and his puppetmasters. I want them out of power. The last thing we need is to let 'them' pull us into blaming the debacle of the last 6 years on Bush alone. They've probably promised Bush all the coke and whatever else he wants when this is over. He will fade into the bushes, but the corporate/political/war machine that perpetrated this mess is stronger than ever! I agree with you Chris (and thanks for the laugh). A punch in the mouth would have been a patriotic act. |

Domestically speaking: Bush is burying the U.S. economy with both hands. No president in the history of the United States has done as much damage to the economy, and it will only get worse. |

Fortified, Indeed. We're going to struggle with Bush's fiscal mismanagement for the next generation. And let's not forget the following: @ Not one but TWO presidential elections that were fraught with electoral improprieties (of which, Blacks were MOST harmed) @ Myriad blatant violations of the Constitution and Statutory law @ Including many of such that pertain to preserving the environment @ Guantanamo Bay @ Abu Grab @ And there secret turture camps @ An outing of an undercover CIA operative @ ZERO American (European & UN) response to the Darfur Genocide @ America's position in the current Israel v. Lebanon-Hezbollah calamity @ And NINE-E-LEVEN!!! There's PLENTY of reason to hate these mofos. |

Femrenoir "The man is a puppet - plain and simple. I am anti him and his puppetmasters" But who do you think are those puppetmasters? And Abm, I agree. Do you feel the pervasive anti-Bush sentiment is excessive and unwarranted as Bill O'Reilly suggests? Let me rephrase my answer, I think major Bush hating is excessive, but not unwarrented. I just think we need to direct our anger to the people who are really making these decisions like Femrenoir said "puppetmasters"

Sabiana, I think notion of Bush being hated is overblown. It's mostly a machination by his supporters. But I'd agree that we should spend much less time and effort hating Bush and his kind and much MORE time and effort DEFEATING them. |

Puppeteers would be Haliburton, the oil companies, pharmaceutical companies, the NRA and weapons manufacturers and their stockholders. It is frightening to think they could get another ringer in there with a little tweaking of the results. We definitely need to focus on defeating them and by a huge margin. |
