I don't think there will be much change initially. I think Castro's brother will probably have to die before there's any significant change.
And I think America and the Cuban expatriates that reside here are in for a rude awaken if they think they'll be able to reclaim dominion over Cuba soon. True, there probably are many current citizens and residents of Cuba who are NOT fans of Castro's regime. But I also think many of those same people will greatly resent American OUTSIDERS - even former Cuban citizens - who'd previously spurned the nation and its people long AFTER the fall of the Soviet Empire. |

I notice all the white Cubans cheering--I never see any black Cubans in the groups fleeing Cuba or protesting Castro.

Yeah. I wager the more 'negro' Cubans are not QUITE as excited about some imminent American takeover of Cuba.
I think the expatriation issue could result in some very BELLICOSE circumstances. Because if I’m currently a resident of Cuban – and, especially a Black one – I might want to bust a cap off into some mofos who b*tched out on the country 20 - 30 years ago figuring they can stroll their happya$$ back into the joint and run shyt. |
