I think it's great. I deal in perfumes from time to time and the markup between wholesale and retail is phenomenal. You can make serious bank in the perfume business. But I'm not into trendy perfumes - I use fragrances from the houses of Creed, Guerlain, Caron, Desprez, Boucheron, etc. Have you tried the Baby Phat fragrances - BB? |

I didn't even know Baby Phat had a line of fragrances until I watched the Tyra Banks show this morning. Russell Simmons was on, and he mentioned his wife being the first African American to have a No. 1 fragrance..
I love scents with a fruity fragrance...is that what Baby Phat smells like? |

Its rather odd, for a woman whose stats are 5"10 120-130 lbs to have a "sausage neck". I think she had lipo, and gained weight back in her neck-liposuction can cause you to get fat in bizarre areas like that. |

I read that if you've had liposuction, and you gain weight down the line, it can end up going to bizarre areas like your neck. I wasn't saying that she had lipo done on her "neck". |

ABM, the "neck" is one of the main places that WOMEN get liposuction done.
One thing I LOVE about lipo---when you get your tummy, hips, thighs done----your ASS is now the only place for fat cells to gather. Your food goes to your ass (and unfortunately, titties, in my case).
Was always a 38 C, but now am 38 Double-D because of procedure.

Va_sis, I'd have to disagree that Mrs. Lee Simmons doesn't look Black AT ALL.
If you will, post a photograph of a PURE Asian woman of Mrs. Lee Simmons partial Asian background and show it in juxtaposition to Mrs. Lee Simmons.
You'll note that a pure Japanese woman would be visably FAIRER than Kimora. You'll note the eyes will be MORE slanted. You'll note the cheekbones will be HIGHER. I cannot comment on her nose other than to say that it is neither a typical Black nose nor a typical Asian nose. It's been established that she did have "some work done".
The words you chose to emphasis in your post are curious: SUPPOSED and AT ALL; as they're intended to dispute Mrs. Lee Simmons' Black heritage. As if it were a "bad thing". Why is that? |

because, and only because, Kimora is phoney! Really.
There was a time that I honestly admired her. She's done a great job of building a brand, I like her clothes and I didn't care WHAT her heritage is.
Until I started reading her interviews and seeing how she acted.
She plays up to black media when it suits her. Any other time, she's hollering about being a blazin' asian.
but she put her foot in her mouth about 4 years ago or so.
Did you happen to catch her & Russell when they were on 106&Park, while she was pregnant with her second child? Free asked what gender they hoped for. Russell said a boy. Free asked what would they name him. Russell said something like Malik. You should've seen the way Kimora looked at him...like he stank or something. Kimora responded VERY negatively "Ugh, ugh, no I'm not naming my baby nothing like that, blah, blah".
Ask me what BOTH of her daughters are named.
So in essence, I emphasized those words in my previous post to counter the applause everyone was giving Kimora for being a successful AFRICAN-AMERICAN woman in perfume business....when clearly WE rep her black heritage more than she does. |

I'm with you on this. However, it seems you and I take the opposite approach. I gather when you witness those with partial Black heritage who don't FULLY ACKNOWLEDGE IT AT ALL TIMES, you kick them out the Black race. To me, that' giving them what they want. I take a different road. I never pass up an opportunity to POINT OUT that they're Black. For no other reason than to phuck with 'em.
I used to work with a man years ago who hated the expression "I see said the blind man." I said it around him every chance I got - we ended up having a relationship we got on each other's nerves so much. So...my approach has been known to backfire.  |

A person obsessed with race and color (as most America is) can not except someone being of both races. It's either one or the other. The act of being multiracial "but she looks black, look at her nose, her hair, her skin tone" astounds some people. In the year 2006 people still rely on outdated method on determining race and not genetics. You are what you appear to be.
i.e "What are you?"
BUT!
I would not mind if she claimed not being black actually. It would do us all a favor. Maybe its the fact she annoying the hell out of me with the whole "ghetto black girl" act, as if that is what a black woman only is. It's insulting to me.
