I like Kerry Washington. I think she is also a superb actress. I didn't think she was much in the looks department when I first saw her, but she had one of those faces that grew on me. Now I think she is gorgeous. What do you think? |

I love all of the actresses above as well. But I won't hate on Kerry Washington. She did a good job in Ray. But the actresses about are real actresses that I respect.
Halle Berry is beautiful to look at. But I don't think she is a better actress than Kerry. |

I love Theresa Randle too. When she first broke, she was very sexy, sultry. And eyes to DIE for.
Last I saw of her she was playing Martin Lawrence's wife in Bad Boys II (Hollywood's a cold, cruel and evil place to Black women.)

Serena, I prefer Halle's perspective over Kerry's.
I can relate to Halle, and I love Halle because she's willing to take risky roles and because she's very AMBITIOUS like I am.
I just wish Angela Bassett (my favorite) had Halle's drive and willingness to play riskier parts.
I also love Regina King.
My all time favorite remains Cicely Tyson.

QUINCY JONES has used every bit of his talent and art and life's work to OUR people.
He also has 5 lifelong BEST FRIENDS---3 of whom are Black women.
I happen to personally know Black women who Quincy has bought HOMES for----he put Black children of single black mothers through College----he's taken black mothers off bus benches and put them in cars, fully paid for.
And he was NOT FUCKING or exploiting ANY of these black women.
He Produced "The Color Purple" and has ALWAYS supported Black women's art, always promoted positive images of Black women, always PRAISED and said GOOD THINGS about Black women in public.
He fought Fred Williamson down when he tried to put down black women. Quincy insisted on the "goodness" and "value" of Black women.
While it's true he has totally loved/admired/married ONLY white blond women....it is also true that he has never once turned his back on black people, black children and the community.
He has also acknowledged to someone I know that he sees himself as a victim of "colorism"---that he grew up in those times and was influenced by it.
You're right. I do love Quincy--because though he is "NIGGERSTOCK" (and he is)----he has also been that RARE black men who never once blamed his wives on black women---and he has been a BROTHER to us, regardless.
If your wife died ABM, and you married a white woman---I would be jealous, but I would love you just as much as I love Quincy.
