It's debateable as to whether Brad and Angie are dysfunctional or that they look like crackheads. They were functional enough to realize that marriage is about more than just a certificate and a ceremony and, by the prevailing standards, they are considered Hollywood's "most beautiful" couple. What is for certain is that they know what to do with all of their excess money. They donate it to what they hope are good causes. That atones for a multitude of sins. |

Picking apart what you said was indicative of my opinion, mzuri. Obviously I like Brad and Angelina. I think Brad is fine and Angelina is exotic. I like how they hooked up, irrepressibly drawn together, undoubtedly attracted to each other by the idea of hot sex. I like their movies and I like the way they don't care what other people think, the way the give their money away. But I wouldn't care if they never adopted another straggly orphan. And hopefully they will start spreading some of their money around in America among poor ol black folks. Finally, I think the idea of them or their baby looking like crack heads is ridiculous. They look pretty clear-eyed and composed to me. |

I think it's interesting that he's watching the baby, and she's watching him (and how).

Since everyone around here seems to give weight to rumors it has been rumored that Angelina didn't steal Brad from Jennifer, that Brad always had "one foot in that marriage" and had lost interest in it before he even met Angelina, and that Jennifer was totally focused on her career, not interested in babies or what it took to make them, perfectly content as long as she had a ready supply of martinis at hand. Angelina purported had an epiphany while in Africa and felt her mission was to help relieve the suffering of the world, declaring that she had outgrown her old wanton ways. So say the "informed sources." Now, back to the really important thngs in the world like how WalMart reportedly has future plans to set up gas stations all over the country, selling a cheap alternative to gas. |

FOOL PLEASE....I wanted a baby EIGHT YEARS AGO. But I waited because my husband wasn't ready for a baby....it's called not wanting to force your spouse into something they're not ready for, especially something as serious as parenthood. Now, if I had wanted a baby MORE than I wanted my husband, I probably would have left him. But I can't expect him to just make babies he's not ready for. |

We are having 2 different discussions here.
No one is arguing that anyone should be forced have children.
But Pitt and Aniston are NOT 20-something. They're more like 40-something. There comes a point where you're either going to have children...or not.
Perhaps Pitt reached the conclusion that based on BOTH their age and Aniston's desire to wait, it is unlikely that they will have children. So he elected to move on with and to someone who wants a family like he wants. |

Maybe she just wanted to NOT have kids. Whatever the age of the parents, parenthood is too serious to not go in wanting it wholeheartedly. If you're 50 and having second thoughts, you shouldn't have kids. |

Angelina just turned 31 in May. I think she felt having Brad's child was the least she could do in exchange for his adopting hers. Their baby also strenghthens the bond between them. |

If millions of people weren't interested in what goes on in the pop culture scene then the fan and tabloid magazine industy wouldn't be a billion dollar one, serenasailor. Celebrity-watching is just one of the many things I find interesting in the world around me, because I endeavor to be a well-rounded person, not a "one-trick pony" like you who gives every indications of being a big malcontented bore, who does nothing but bitch and moan and talk out of both sides of your mouth, hating all black folks who don't think like you. The millions and millions of dollars that Brad and Angelina donate to help the less fortunate in the world, particularly those on the African continent are not "make believe". Of course, a slug like you wouldn't know that the BIG BUCKS they got for selling their baby's picture all went to charity. I say all of this not to defend them but to prove that you don't know what you're talking about. And I repeat: Pop culture is just one of the many things I try to keep up with because I like knowing a little bit about a lot of things. |
