With the exception of the daughter (because she looks pretty either white or black), I think they all look like Halloween freaks!
I think the show is rather stupid, however, I'd be interested to know if Rose ever hooked up with that brotha from her poetry group!?!

I don't think white women look black (at all) when they are "tan"--and they aren't trying to look black. Just as I don't think black women who straighten their hair do so to look white--because they don't.

Yeah, Abm, and it "figures YOU'D" only think of an interracial "hook up" in a stereotypically shallow, sexual manner. Rose was geniunely interested in that cat. I think it would have been interesting to watch their relationship unfold on an intellectual, spiritual, social and cultural level.

Who in the hell wouldn't be interested in Black men? They are superior beings in every way. They look good, they're intelligent, most of them are great thinkers, they're proud, they're strong, they have a powerful sexual prowess, they smell good, they taste good -- oops, did I say they taste good??? I'm so nasty!!! LOL!!! |

Careful there, Mzuri....that's basically the same thing they say about white women, ALL OF THE ABOVE.
I don't think anyone is better or worse than anyone else...so I sure as hell don't think I'm at the 'bottom'. |

Black ppl are superior in every way. We're smarter, faster, stronger - better in all aspects. Why do you think white girls keep trying to catch our men??? And how come white men are always running behind us???

Mzuri--
White women tend to age sooner than their 40s--I'd say around their mid to late 20s is when they start to age. I observed that by the time they're in their early 30s they already have fine lines, and wrinkles.
For their beauty to hold so much standard in society, it's rather odd that it doesn't last long at all. |

I agree. However, I find that most common, if not only, in America. Non-American, white women tend to age beautifully! I attribute that to the good air-quality, low sugar, chemical-free, whole foods, and omega-3 rich diet of white women living outside of the US. Also, non-American, white women exercise more. And also, European countries are at least 20 years ahead of the US in regards to preventative health care.
Go to Iceland, Holland, Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. They're generally much more graceful and sweet than American women, too. (And I know that last sentence is loaded, but that's my opinion).

This applies to Non-American white women, too. They age incredibly fast.
It says a lot that Black women can still age gracefully and remain youthful despite the air, chemicals, pollution and everything else you mentioned.
Unlike Caucasion women who need to live in a "certain atmosphere" to remain youthful. |

Europeans are known for their lack of response to their exterior. This is something that they are teased and ridicule about ALL THE TIME within American "mainstream" circles. They seem not to care about their appearance. Their teeth are yellow (a sign of aging); their skin is deeply wrinkled, cracked and leathery--yet they're heavy smokers and coffee drinkers--they say they don't care. Their excuse is they're not obsessed about their looks like Americans. They get more exercise because for some reason they drive less; not because they work out. They put no time/effort into their bodily appearance. Plastic surgery is not popular over there, at all; which presents insight to what whites look like in their natural state--before chemical peels, scrubs, surgery, etcetera--how they looked back in the eighties (pre-plastic surgery).... For those who are too young to go back that far... it was scary! |

Meet some West African women.....no special face creams, outside without sunscreen (which I wouldn't recommend), more energy than an American teenager, and still looking 15 to 20 years younger than they are. Black American women don't hold a candle to them. |

Funny how MANY women simply MUST cut on each others looks; no matter how great or small the differences in weight, skincolor, height, hair, a$$e$, tits, clothing, make-up, etc.

Not cutting... just stating the facts. Europeans (MEN AND WOMEN) are not into their looks and they DO NOT age beautifully as Moonsigns claimed.
Reneta, African women DO age better than AAs even. Darker skinned AAs seem to share this trait. My mother (blue/black age 72) and my oldest brother (blue/black early 50s) have incredibly smooth, flawless skin--my mother can pass for early/mid 50. I'm holding out hope for myself because my chocolate skinned aunt (late 70s) has the smoothest skin of them all. Maybe it's not just a blue/black thing.

I would agree with you if everything we were discussing was simply a bold faced lie...
but it's the TRUTH.
Look at Britney Spears (23 yrs) than compare her to a 30 something Gabrielle Union...
BIG difference.
Pamela Anderson, the Queen of Leatherfaceness than compare her to an Iman.
White women's beauty simply don't last AT ALL. They can be quite attractive from their teens to early 20s but its downhill from there. Brooke Shields is another prime example. |

Yes, black people have gorgeous skin that I envy. I'm a fair-skinned white woman who can't tan to save her life; only burn.
I met a coworker of my mom's who was thrilled to death to be a father for the first time. Which I thought was odd for such a young guy. I didn't see what the excitement was, because it was so obvious that he and his wife were in their early 20's and had all the time in the world.
He was in his early 40's and his wife in her late 30's. They had been married over 15 years without conceiving. That was about 20 years ago. I saw them recently and they only looked like they aged a decade. I'm convinced they both have portraits in their attics like Dorian Grey, LOL. |
