May issue of Ebony magazine has their annual list.
The usual suspects are there, Oprah, Condi, Barak.
Others too, like Russell Simmons and Tyler Perry.
I haven't seen the complete list, but I am sure Uncle Clarance Thomas made the cut too. |

What good is influence when it's not directed towards the best interests of Black Americans across the board, but rather to a few selected socio-economic groups? Instead of worshipping these 100 [and the next 900 also influential], we should be calling them to task. I don't see Jewish people publishing such vulgarity as 100 Most Influential Jewish Americans. Are our egos so weak? Wake up, people! |

Whenever I see this 100 Most Influential Black Americans listing advertised, I cannot help thinking, "So friggin' what! Am I suppose to walk up to Oprah or Farrakhan, fall down on my knees and kiss their naiked a$$e$ or something? (Btw: Oprah's I'd probably kiss. Farrakhan’s I'll leave to Serenasailor fakewannabe-a-black-nationalistic a$$.) |
