Big News for Schakspir and other Kola Boof haters!  Stephen Wyman, the Executive Producer of "Days of Our Lives"....is going to produce and direct a play about my early life in Sudan and Washington, D.C. I made the agreement this afternoon and my Agent/Lawyer approved it. Stephen's play will focus on my childhood--not Osama Bin Laden--and will debut in Los Angeles in the next 12 months. A playwright hasn't been chosen, but the play will not be written by me. I'm very thrilled that Steve finds me so fascinating and that he's planning such a quality product that will introduce me to a whole new group of people. His knowledge of North Africa absolutely astounds me and I truly think he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. ALSO---I had a blast on the soundstages of "Days of Our Lives" today!! I can absolutely never/ever talk about what goes on in the show ...but I can say that I saw and met many of the cast members, ie. Hope, Sammi, Austin, Lucas, Carrie, Chelsea, Jack (who I suppose was filming flashbacks)....and they're all wonderful people. AUSTIN REED is foine as hell! MY GOD! And he really is a professional boxer!! It's not just written in the script. He's a boxer!! The studio itself is absolutely eye-boggling. Just so lush and beautiful...and when I arrived at NBC, they were so nice to me and so many people knew who I was. I didn't want to leave, it was so much fun. I got to go in the control room: The lighting Crew is up for an EMMY this Saturday and I'm rooting for them. These guys are so nice!! The director, the line technicians, the editor and just EVERYBODY was so incredibly excited to meet me and they were so nice. And Stephen Wyman just treated me like royalty. He's so kind and sweet and intelligent. You couldn't dream up a better boss.  Va_Sis, It's not that I'm a clown, it's just that I'm not pretentious. I'm a better woman and mother than you'll ever be--even in my clown makeup. Schakspir, Your incessant JEALOUSY is really getting old. Seriously... You should spend more time honing your writing skills and presenting your own political view--than rising your blood pressure over some neurotic Sudanese chick. You come off like a chump and a fanatic. Not to mention a loser. Lil_ze, You're laughable.  And weak. Did I mention weak? | ||

Va_sis, I apologize to you. I really don't enjoy being so immature and mean towards you--just because you reminded me of a few women I knew growing up in D.C. One was from Virginia, and suggested that my mother "perm" me and my sister's "pubic hair"--as we were approaching dating age--and she she thought that black girls should have straight her on their pussies as well as their heads. Some of us are too preoccupied with our own lives to worry about every single thing that you do. In case you don't realize, most of us on this board who are "anti-Kola" are merely making fun of you because you leave yourself wide open. Hi Moonsigns, Austin Peck PICKED ME up and twirled me around!!!! I never liked his acting or his looks before--but he is SO COOL in person--and so tall and bold. Just incredibly kind and sweet. He's a big ham and I love it! Jack (Matthew Ashford) and I had a really great conversation. I like him a lot. He thought I was an actress coming to play a part. And the OUTTAKES and REHEARSALS from the show are so much better than the show. Brownbeauty123, There's a good chance that anyone from the show could surf these pages--so I can't be KOLA here. Sami is very pretty in person and she's INTENSE. She was one of the few women who looked NORMAL in size. YES, girl...these people or MICRO-tiny in person. Chelsea stunned me, because she really IS a little girl. She's not even 17! I dropped the books I was carrying and she rushed to pick them up. She's SO SWEET. I can't believe she plays such an evil character so convincingly. Lucas (who I never liked), really won me over as I watched the way he acts in Rehearsals---and CARRIE BRADY is very funny and NOTHING (do you hear me) like her character on the show. I met HOPE and she's much thinner in person. I forgot to mention earlier that one of the Assistant Producers is a Black Woman named Denise (they really have a lot of "black employees" behind the scenes at DAYS).....and I just fell in love with Denise's "kindness". She's a plump, pretty woman--but her spirit was so sweet and unjaded for someone who's a Producer. She knew who I was and it was like meeting a family member. I gave a signed copy of "Flesh and the Devil" to Tonya Boyd (Celeste) who is SOOOOOOO gorgeous and one of my favorite characters. She looks better in real life than on t.v. And she doesn't have an accent in real life. The Queen There are certain people, contractually, that you cannot speak about----even if it's say something nice. For instance, I mentioned how gorgeous one certain actress is (even though she's now 60) and everyone immediately warned me NEVER to mention her age....EVER. And you don't speak about that person as a "real person"--even if it's a compliment. But I love that person and she is SOOOOOOO wonderful and sweet. She was truly an angel. DUMMY It was a blast. AND I STILL---have no job description. I'm working on "dummy scripts" this weekend--which are scripts they have you write that will never be produced, but are "training bras"---so that I learn how to BLEND IN with the style of the other writers. The show is written very (cough) "simply" and I can't write these Faulkner-like pages/speeches. You have to write IN SYNCH with the rest of the writing team. | ||

Kola, I wouldn't be a real woman if I couldn't forgive you. I'm sure we'll disagree here & there, and it may be more drag out viciousness between us, but the realness is... ...we're both built for conflict, can learn from it, can admit our mistakes and move on. And the Virginia mindset about perms hasn't changed. Where I'm from and live, I STAND out because I'm 5'9, dark with a wild ass 'fro. People stare at me. I've even been laughed at. And you know what? Uh no....Kola Boof receives at least 25 to 50 emails PER DAY ...a good portion from people who visit this board ASKING for information about where I'm appearing and what I'm doing. You can ask Roxie, Renata, Jackie--just a FEW "regular" posters who have emailed me more than once asking for some kind of information about something I was doing, appearing, etc. Many of the people seeking INFO don't even post here, but they surf by. Rather than try and answer so many emails each and every day--it's far easier to just post NEWS and INFORMATION on the board....because FANS know that this is where Kola Boof can be found....and it's worked. Instead of filling my box with emails, a lot of people just catch up during the posts with what I'm doing. SO AGAIN...Schakspir's jealousy and venom and Lil_ze's typical bullshit (I mean, this is a man who can't even accurately describe who HE HIMSELF is, let alone analyze someone else)....are way off the mark. And look what an idito Schakspir is...pinning his own CREDIBILITY on Lil_ze. The board's resident bitter Cracker-CREE/HOLE "dummy" FLAKE. Ms. Kola, If these threads are intended to inform your undying fan base, then why not simply start a discussion entitled "Kola's Latest Happenings" and update it as your schedule permits, instead of starting your typical "nanny-nanny-boo-boo-hey-look-at-me-I-can-touch-my-nose-with-my-eyes-closed-ever ybody-kiss-my-ass" threads. You are so antagonistic and egotistical it really is unbecoming. Do you really need to start a new thread over every occurrence in your daily life? In the Kool Room there's the Pray for Me thread, the Big Shocker for Kola Boof thread, the Word from Kola thread, and the So Much Things To Say thread, just to name a few. Do you even know that on a discussion board one should update on the same subject to the same thread, instead of starting a new discussion to talk about the same thing over again. This entire discussion board is a big mess because you and several other posters are prone to do it. We don't need six separate discussions about the Duke episode. Although it is important, there are other topics that we can be sharing information about. And do you think that anyone cares to know about your dates with Thomas, your liposuction, your diet, your hair, your lipstick and every other trivial detail of your daily life? It's not that interesting to the rest of us - really. There are other authors and semi-celebrities that post to Thumper's about their latest events who do so with class and style. They too blow their own horn, but they do it with tact. Why don't you give it a try? It would be so much more pleasant for the rest of us. I think that most of us are happy about your accomplishments, because we are positive ppl and we want to see others achieve their goals, but the way you present yourself leaves so much to be desired. You bring much of the negativity from others upon your own self. Nobody really hates you Kola - it's your horrible conduct that ppl deplore. And if you are really so swamped with tons of e-mails that you can't keep up - I have two suggestions for you: number one - hire an assistant, with all the money that "Days" is supposedly paying you I'm sure that you can afford it, and number two - autoresponders. Anyway, allow me to second the motion, and add that nothing in your last post, kola boof, disproves that there are just as many people who don't e-mail you and who are tired of your self-centeredness and how you blitz these boards with your obsessions and tantrums and repetitiveness. It's the same ol same ol; kola, and "variations" on the theme of kola. And, of course, you and your stooges are always hovering around, ready to yell "jealousy" to anyone who doesn't shower you with flattery. Why does Kola begin threads like this??? (Hmmm...30+ posts later...LOL) No peacemaking attempts for me today: Someday someone will do a research study, though, on the elements that keep an on-line community vibrant. (Assuming this study has not already been conducted.) I'd wager that one of the findings will be that "echo chamber" sites where everyone agrees with everyone else most of the time, fail to survive for long. On the other hand, discussion boards with definite characters with strong personalities who often butt heads will be found to get lots of posters and lots of readers and stay up and running for longer periods of time... Just a thought. On the positive side, we've gone a whole thread without any jpegs or gifs of breasts, blooming roses, or middle fingers to the sky! Chalk one up for civility!
