Please, Doberman, don't put me in the same category with that scrub chrishayden! Nobody could be more happy than me about the Bulls. I am, after all, a big fan and I reeeally wanted them to make the play-offs but I was afraid they wouldn't because of their history of building up big leads and then giving games away in the final seconds. But down the stretch when it counted, they maintained their poise and scored come-from-behind victories in the final minutes. And of course, if they win their last game, that would move them up in the standings and spare them the ordeal of playing Detroit. A final victory would also redeem their season by giving them a .500 record! Go Bulls! |

Cynique: You are rising on my coattails. I am humbled that people gain stature by mere association with me. Doberman: I am not from Chicago. St. Louis does not have a baseball team (since the Aba Spirits) before that the Hawks got run out of town--too many blacks. I think it belongs to the Pistons. |

You have no coattails, chrishayden. All you have is the raggedy delusion of grandeur that cloaks your naked ego. |

Cynique: Naked ego? That's positively Freudian. Doberman: Wow! Great! Only about--what--150 more games to go? Jesus could come back in that time and all our excitement could be for naught. I pay no attention to baseball until about July. That's when the race tends to start shaking out. |

Dobes: Sorry. It should have been basketball team. It's all Cynique's fault, as usual. I am sure I typed basketball in there and she made it misspell. |

You guys take it easy on Chris. And he is dedicated fan of the Cardinals. It hurt him to his heart when Houston beat them last season.I can almost hear him whimpering every time that they say 'the defending National League champion Houston Astros' on ESPN.I must confess, Cynique, that I have no trouble envisioning an elegant dandy like Chris as wearing coats with ruffled tails, though. |

If I have my way they'll finish in the cellar and get lynched and run out of town. To hell with Ozzie Smith! |

How about that, Doberman? They Bulls salvaged their season with a .500 record and dodged the Detroit Piston's bullet! Amazing. And the way the standings were all jammed up in the Eastern conference, and to a lesser degree, in the Western one, made for an exciting wind-up. Many pundits are saying that's how the NBA should be; that there should be more parity among the teams instead of a few dominate ones that just beat up on the cellar dwellers all season long, and that on any given night, any team should be able to emerge an impressive winner. Soooo, now what for the Bulls? The good news is that they don't have to face the Pistons. The bad news is that they have to contend with Shaq. Back in the glory days, the Bulls had a "3-headed monster" that posed a threat in the form of 3 super-tall centers. Right now, they've got some big guys they could throw in the mix, including a 7'4" footer from Australia, reminscient of ol Luke Longley. Anyway, it should be an interesting series. Scottie Pippen says the Bulls are "hot" right now, having won 10 of their final 12 games, and that they are the team to beat, but then, he and his ol fair weather self would say that. LOL. BTW, I'm really surprised that the 76ers lost out since they have Iverson and Webber, the "horses" that that well known sports "authority" chrishayden insists are so crucial to making the play-offs. snort. |

Whassup, Moonie? Yeah, I knew "The Fellowship of the Ring" and "The Two Towers" were being shown on TBS last week. I didn't really sit down and watch them because, of course, I have the extended edition DVDs of both of these movies. And, yes, I still madly adore the character, Lord Aragorn, but my passion for ol Viggo has cooled, because after his last movie, every time I saw him on TV or in magazines, the dude was kissing on David Cronenberg, the director of "A History of Violence"! Hummmmm. So now, me and Angie are anxiously awaiting the birth of Brad's baby. Heh-heh. |
