Britain to Give Ghana over 200 Million Dollars in Next Three Years released on 03/06/06 at 08:01:00 Britain has welcomed Ghana's steady progress on development, with the Department for International Development (DFID) announcing it would provide up to 120 million pounds (about 210 million U.S. dollars) in Poverty Reduction Budget Support (PRBS) over the next three years. Britain's assistance would be used to help to improve health, education, water and infrastructure in the country, Ghana News Agency quoted a statement from the British High Commission in Accra as saying on Sunday. It said Ghana would receive 35 million pounds (about 61 million dollars) from Britain in 2006 under a multi-donor program. http://www.emergingminds.org/magazine/content/index.php?itemid=3273 |

Seems nice--but 300 million dollars would not cover the budget of the City of St. Louis for one year. This is chickenfeed, and is destined mostly to wind up in the pockets of the elites and British and American firms who will get the contracts (through the payment of bribes) to do the pork barrell projects that this money is usually spent on. The elites will wind up unpopular, the Western political financial establishment will scream that the government of Ghana is corrupt and inefficent and should accept the help of "advisers" who will continue the scam. "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Show him how to fish and he can feed himself."--the West is not interested in showing Africans how to fish. Only how to keep coming back and begging for another fish. They make nothing. If they wanted to resist they don't even make their own guns and bullets. That would be a start. And the beat goes on.... |

Abm: You might ask the same thing about us Africans here in America. Every time they try it they get bought off, bumped off, overthrown, etc. You seem to think that European nations, which are making a mint having things like they are now, would like to give up all that money and sit back and let them fish for themselves. Uh uh. Remember Idi Amin was fine until he threw all the Asians out-- |

John Henrik Clark said "bury the man/woman continue with the plan". If there were a commintent amongst the masses of Blacks to be completely independent and self sufficient we would not be vulnerable to any efforts to thwart our progress not even assassination. But we lack the sense of self pride which is born from a certain type of culturalization and cohesiveness, to do so. |

Unfortunately this is the way the UK keeps corrupted leaders in power. Meanwhile, the people are hungry as their leaders ride around in BMWs. |
