It's not often that I promote a program on VH1--Not that I have anything against it, I just think I am not their "intended demographic" LOL! But I hope you all do check out "DMC: My Adoption Journey" tonight. It sounds pretty powerful and hopefully will be well done. (That is, it appears to be a true documentary and not along the lines of "Flavor of Love" or something.) As some of you know, I have a big research and personal interest in adoption, foster care, and reproduction in communities of color. I hope this program--and D's powerful video--will be a mechanism for discussion about these topics. |
