I'm just finishing the 2nd book of The Cairo Trilogy by Naguib Mahfouz - a very interesting read of Egyptian life between the last century's world wars. Some OMG drama and the description of the lives of the women - can you imagine NEVER being able to leave your home for years??? LiLi - I have C.R.E.A.M. on my short list - glad you liked it. Mr. Jones puts out a good product. |

I'm reading "Letters to a Young Brother" by Hill Harper. It's very inspirational for young black males and somewhat autobiographical. |

I'm trying to work my way through "The Senator and The Socialite, the "true story of America's first black dynasty" by Lawrence Otis Graham. It's 391 pages, written in small print. Wish me luck. Hope the pace picks up soon. |

Crystal, I LOVE The Cairo Trilogy! I'd been wanting to read it for a long time and when I heard of the author's death that reminded it to start it right away. I'm still on the first book, right where the new bride has arrived in the home. Those men are a trip! Today I picked Baldwin's Another Country. |

Today I picked up Get Down by Asali Solomon. I think I read about it in Essence last month! It's a collection of short stories about teens growing up in West Philly. |
