You know what really bothers me? It's not that black women should not have their own voice (they absolutely should) and its not that black women do not deserve something of their own (we black men owe the world to them) but just like religion is a separation on man by denomination (religion to me is the devil itself) spirituality and faith are the watchwords for mankind. Where is the publication that champions this struggle? Where is the publication that addresses those things that we go back and forth about on this forum? I appreciate the note at the end of the In This Issue box that reads “Pray that we keep our balance.” It speaks to me that this magazine will be about OUR issues as it pertains to black women. I would submit that the issues of black women are the issue of black men. (at least in the beginning, as work, family, chauvinism, and glass ceilings are also in the forefront of the minds of black women.) I'll buy into this as long as it doesn't attempt to segregate us more. It doesn't appear to have that intent. Lastly I will say that I know we as black men have been a part of why such a publication seems to be needed. I just have a brighter outlook for our future as I strive to educate the people in my circle about how we are ever going to survive. This is a good look Yvettp...
