Then one day, some of the lyrics to Erykah Badu’s Bag Lady came to mind and I became elated. I couldn’t believe that the theme of her song fit my main character so perfectly. I knew immediately what the title had to be. Although, the song was released in 2000, the message is timeless. It’s as applicable today as it was six years ago.”

Faith’s sister Nicole’s jealousy is immediately apparent to all present, forcing Faith to remind her of all her past misfortune.
With this twist of sibling rivalry, the novel unfolds into a gripping account of Faith’s past, beginning with her troubled childhood in the home of an alcoholic and abusive step-father.
