Hello All,
I am SO IN LOVE with my iPod! I'm a downloading fool. I went crazy last week downloading a few Errol Garner and Ahmad Jamal CDs that I did not have in my collection. This week my jewel of a download was a smooth neo-soul group, Hil St. Soul. I first heard about this group yesterday when I was with my best friend Arch and we were listening to a contemporary jazz radio station. Hil St. Soul's remake of Until You Come Back To Me (Acoustic version) came on the radio. I immediately flipped, so much so that I hit iTunes to see if I can find out who recorded this version and download it. I discovered that its cheaper downloading a CD than it is buying the CD in a store or through my usual on-line sources. After hearing samples from the group's three available CDs, I can say that I am in love. From my understanding Hil St. Soul's music is called neo-soul. I call it da BOMB! Check 'em out sometime.
Now about, Miss Leela James...why ain't this woman being played on the radio?? What a f*cking incredible voice!! Her music brings back my parents southern roots with a smooth beat to it. She sounds all country, churchy and bluesy at the same time. This is the kind of music that I AM TALKING ABOUT!! I know her CD is old, but the music is off the hook, regardless. |

I'm with you on the iPod thing, I can't live without it! iTunes is also the best form of try before you buy music store there is. I'ma go check your girl out and see what you are talkin bout...

Damn! Thump... You were right. I pulled down "a change is gonna come" from iTunes and it is REAL Music! I have no idea how that one got past me all of these years... |
