Any one have any good books for teens and preteens? I got an email about one called The Great Tome. http://www.thegreattome.com I don't have kids but I do have lots of cousins! I'm trying to get them into reading. Other books I heard about were: Bang by Sharon Flake and 47 By Walter Mosley |

I would highly recommend BIRTH OF A NATION by Aaron McGruder, Reginald Hudlin and Kyle Baker. It's a graphic novel, illustrated throughout, it's a fun read and it's something that will keep them interested. There's a tiny bit of explicit language so I would suggest you read it first to ensure it meets your approval. |

I recommend you checking out the books of Walter Dean Myers, Jacqueline Woodson to name two. |
