Someone asked me what the title of my book, Catharsis, means. Catharsis is a Psychology term, among others. It’s a technique used to relieve tension, and anxiety by bringing repressed feelings, and fears to consciousness. It’s a purging of emotional tensions. It means to release (repressed emotions) by acting out, as in words, behavior, or the imagination, the situation causing the conflict.(Dictionary definition) Catharsis is a book of three (3) short stories. In them, Sibyl, Ashley, and Priscilla are strong, fearless women because they faced their fears and lived the lives they wanted. What the book says, in a metaphorical way, is that vampires and spirits are only paper tigers--harmless. Read about them and release your fear. I gave vampires human personalities, only their faces are different. Visit my website at www.millerscribs.com and read more about my work. |
