I stayed away from it the first time I saw it. I mean for the person that put the ad out there, I wonder if he or she was looking for some controversy. Man, if they are really just that deep in the closet that their obvious need to hop on the street lit wagon while it's smokin tires- surpasses their understanding of tact (and things you just ought not say) I feel sorry for them. P.S. I'd b damned if I supported them, that's for sure! -BatMo-> |

This want ad says nothing about the writer being Black. The colored part was added by the blogger. The actual ad states that the project is a Black middle class novel and we all know that one doesn't have to be Black to write a Black novel. This ad is posted all over the net and for it to state that they are hiring Black would be discrimination and an EEO violation. http://www.writejobs.com/cgi-bin/job.pl?job=2242 |

You know MZ I think you are right. It's funny how the ad reads so differently without the prejudice added |

Hi BatMo. It took me a while to see it for what it was. I think that since most of us here are creative, we tend to read into things. Like your username for instance. If you don't mind me asking - what does it denote? Are you a cop who rides a batmobile or a Baltimore cop? I can't figure it out and inquiring minds must know |

Hey MZ, My name comes from my insane friends in San Diego. It comes from: I am a gadget guy like BATman, I look like Kool MO' Dee when I wear big glasses and I'm built like RoboCOP (only not as big anymore) So.... in one fail swoop I was branded one day when I was in rare form at a get together. |
